Why need “transformation”? Why can’t South African sport men and women be selected to play for their respected teams on the basis of merit and not their skin colour?
South Africa is under a racist and unwelcoming regime against the white minority. You form a team out of the best players end of story. Any sporting team should not be restricted under quota systems. These quota systems will be the death of South African sport.
It is absolutely absurd to have penalties forced on to teams if they do not reach the set “transformation” (no whites allowed) target.
These “restrictions”, “quotas” or “transformation” (call it whatever you want) is not far off from Apartheid laws.
Yes, this means that the current South African government is not far off from the Apartheid era. Except this time the laws are enforced on to white people effectively attacking the minority (white South Africans).
This is ridiculous as these laws are enforced on to the job market as well.
We call on an end to quotas in sport.
