The South African Police Service’s vision to create a safe and secure environment for all people in South Africa saw members in Mitchell’s Plain embark on a mission to prevent and combat criminal acts that may threaten the safety and security of communities.
On 30 August 2017, at about 16:15 Ocean View Detectives were executing warrants of arrest in Lily Close, Ocean View when they saw a suspicious looking man in the street.
They stopped and searched him and found a total of 108 packets of crystal methamphetamine as well as 63 mandrax tablets in his possession and confiscated the drugs.
The estimated street value of the drugs is R5800.
A 26 year old man was arrested and he appeared in the Simonstown Magistrates’ court on 31 August 2017, on charges relating to the drug trafficking act.
