Maitland Flying Squad members showed again their worth when they arrested a 41-year-old man on the night of 11 July 2020, for dealing and possession of dagga in Ravensmead.

Last night, members of Maitland Flying Squad were informed that a truck driver dropped black bags in the parking area and left.

The members identified the 12 big bags and saw that it contained dagga. They started to look for the truck, who dropped the bags of dagga. The truck was spotted in Ravensmead area and pulled over. Another 11 big bags of dagga were also found in the truck. The estimated street value of the dagga is R 1 125 000.

The suspect is due to appear in the Bellville Magistrates Court on Monday on the mentioned charges.
