Stats SA more lies told to intimidate the masses

In February 2016 all South Africans were urged to open their doors to fieldworkers, more than 10 000 workers, would gather information for the 2016 Community Survey. If people do not participate, the data collected would not be an accurate reflection of the South African communities.

Now that the official statistics have been released, there is one question that must be answered, how many households did NOT participate in the survey and how accurate are the findings? A handful of people were contacted and confirmed that they did not take part in the study, and therefore it can be assumed that the stats are not 100 percent correct.

The following statement “I’ve always been sceptical about the accuracy of Statistics SA’s press releases. Do we really trust these clowns? Posted during March 2016 an opinion piece published in News24 under the heading “Stats SA – A waste of time”.

The following statement, “I was astonished to hear a stats SA fieldworker telling the homeowner in Boksburg to vote ANC in the upcoming local elections in order to benefit from solar geyser installations. These fieldworkers in Ekurhuleni were selected from the ANCYL as the branch leadership was in attendance at the meetings leading up to the appointment of these field workers. I stand to be corrected, but these fieldworkers were briefed to canvass votes for the ruling party while collecting data for stats SA.” Posted in the Boksburg Advisor in March this year, under the title “Be aware of Stats SA’s Community Survey.”

According to the result of the survey, all South Africans are “better off”, better educated and have better houses. The main concerns are the quality of water, not enough jobs, and electricity costs that remain high.

What the survey did mention and could probably be true is that white and Indian households were more likely to be affected by crime than the other ethnic groups in South Africa. The report indicated that whites and Indians experienced a higher than average percentage of robbery, housebreaking, and theft of motor vehicles.

The study revealed that one in about ten white households experienced crime, with Indian families reaching an 8.4 percent and about seven percent of blacks were affected. Taking into account that of the 55 million people in South Africa, that only four million were white and blacks accounting for approximately 40 million, the seven per cent affected by crime is a drop in the ocean.

The survey stated that there had been an overall improvement in the quality of services and standards of living for all citizens. Then there is the question of why there are so many service delivery protests. It’s all lies once again.
