South Africa’s petrol pump price to rise by 7.5 pct in April

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) – The retail price of petrol in South Africa will rise by 7.5 percent from April 6, while wholesale diesel will rise nearly 10 percent, the energy department said on Saturday.

The price of petrol will increase by 88 cents to 12.62 rand per litre in the commercial hub of Gauteng province, while diesel will go up 95 cents to 10.53 rand per litre, the department said in a statement.
