The video tells the true story of why the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is attempting to muzzle the media. It is a clear indication of desperation and of President Jacob Zuma’s statement to “rule until Jesus comes”.
What the SABC are doing now is following the footsteps of the apartheid government who censored the media to withhold the truth.
“Television, which had been displayed as early as 1936 at a Johannesburg trade fair, was prohibited until 1976 because the regime feared that it would have undesirable ‘liberalistic’ influence on the electorate. HF Verwoerd himself suggested that television posed risks of a magnitude similar to those posed by poison gas and the atom bomb… When the regime finally succumbed to pressure to allow television – and also saw TV’s propaganda potential – the technology was permitted, but only along segregated lines. Programs were aimed at either blacks or whites, never both, and programs for Africans were required to be in one of the five principal African languages.”(excerpt from the Chronology of Some Pointers to the History of the Media).
If the ANC want to rule until the end of the world, then they will control the media and destroy the constitutional right to “freedom of speech.” Remember the SABC and the radio stations have the potential to reach millions of people and under the control of the ANC will never know the truth.
