LIFT celebrates local brands in exciting new partnership with Veldskoen Shoes

Travellers on LIFT flights may notice their crew sporting fresh new footwear, thanks to the airline’s exciting partnership with Veldskoen Shoes.

As a business that’s passionate about South African brands, LIFT is delighted to be able to play its part in supporting ‘local’.

This is not the first time the airline has partnered with a brand that has a place in South Africans’ hearts: with everything from coffee to wine and food crafted and inspired by South Africans, this is a brand that aims to celebrate everything our country has to offer.

“We love being able to delight our customers with the excellent offerings this country is capable of producing. But more than that, supporting local producers means supporting the local economy, too.” said Jonathan Ayache, CEO of LIFT.

“This partnership means we are able to keep our crew looking stylish while bringing together two iconic South African brands.” Ayache added.

The partnership with Veldskoen Shoes is especially noteworthy in this respect, as the brand has been flying the South African flag high since founders Nick Dreyer and Ross Zondagh first set out to create a shoe that encapsulated the unique flavour of a Veldskoen, with a dash of style, too.

All shoes are manufactured in South Africa but, more than this, Veldskoen Shoes had been selected as the official off-field shoes for Team SA in the Tokyo Olympics. “It’s a real privilege to be able to dress LIFT’s crew in our shoes,” comments Dreyer, CEO of Veldskoen Shoes.

“This is a unique coming together of two businesses that celebrates and connects South Africans. Taking our shoes from the ground of our beautiful land to the skies above is incredibly exciting and we are so proud to be associated with SA’s most innovative Airline”

The fresh and cool appearance of LIFT’s crew is just part of what makes this airline different. Its flexible approach – which allows passengers to change or cancel flights and receive a full refund into a LIFT wallet if a flight is cancelled 24 hours ahead of time.

This is just one of the factors that has helped it fast become a favourite among South African travellers. “We’re always looking for ways to make our flights more enjoyable. Our partnership with Veldskoen Shoes is just one example of our innovations. LIFT fans can look forward to plenty more,” Ayache promises.
