A 37-year-old suspect has been arrested for dealing in dagga after South African Police Service (SAPS) members discovered drugs valued at over R3 million during a routine patrol.
SAPS officers stationed at Kaapmuiden were conducting routine patrol duties along the N4 Road when they noticed a brown Toyota Hilux fitted with a brown canopy and bearing Mpumalanga registration number plates parked on the roadside. Upon inspection, officers found the vehicle fully loaded with 41 bags containing dagga.
The confiscated dagga weighed approximately 502.6 kilograms, with an estimated street value exceeding R3 million. The suspect was arrested at the scene and is expected to appear at the Barberton Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
