
A coordinated multi-unit police operation on Thursday led to the arrest of three young men found in possession of a large cache of suspected stolen goods, including a significant number of identity documents.
The successful operation was conducted by the Fezile Dabi Trio Task Team, in collaboration with Sasolburg Crime Intelligence and Deneysville Detectives.
According to authorities, the operation resulted in the arrest of three suspects, aged 18 and 19, for possession of suspected stolen property.
During the intervention, members seized a range of items from the suspects. The recovered goods included two televisions, two microwaves, and a substantial haul of official documents. These documents consisted of 90 ID books, 83 ID cards, and several SASSA cards.

Police reported that the suspects were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for their possession of the items, leading to their arrest on Thursday, 13 November 2025.
The suspects are expected to face charges related to the possession of suspected stolen property. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the origin of the goods and identify the rightful owners.
