The Appeals Court in Bloemfontein granted the so called ‘coffin two’, Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Jackson, leave to appeal their sentence and conviction.
A date for hearing the appeal has not been determined yet.
The men were convicted on several charges in the so called coffin case trial by judge Segopotje Mphahlele.
The two men, Theo Jackson received 14 years of imprisonment, and Willem Oosthuizen received 11 years effectively.
Both were however already convicted and sentenced by the community even before the verdict.
