Some people call it – “The Rise of the Donald”.

Others call it – “The Rise of Fascism and Bigotry”.

However, Like Brexit – no one could have predicted that Mr. Donald J Trump would win the presidential election.

Many people have a both a favourable and unfavourable view of president elect, Mr. Donald J Trump – but again, like with Brexit, democracy has spoken. However, what has the reaction been?

As with Brexit, it split a country in two – taking into consideration that many people voted defensively: “Rather Trump than Hillary”; to some the lesser of two evils. However Election of Trump has been caused riots and protests in America which are still on going at the time of the publication of this piece.

The International Powers, having overplayed their hand, having caucused all the large media corporations to expound only THEIR narrative; normal people of European descent have seen this and have reacted. Subsequently, the International Powers are starting to realise that democracy is no longer on their side. They inherently believed people of European descent were finished and had given up all resistance – but the Brexit referendum and the Trump vote have proven otherwise.

The irony of the matter is that states such as Scotland and California which disagreed with the outcomes of the democratic outcome have chosen to embrace the very thing they scorn – Nationalism.

California has started the #Calexit campaign in the form of “Yes California”.

In Scotland there has been the resurgence of “Yes” Campaign which failed in 2014 in their bid to leave the UK.

Irony aside, whether president elect, Mr. Donald J Trump, will be a good or bad president (relatively speaking) is irrelevant, for the moment at least. Trumps’ presence in the past US elections has created a momentum for groups all around the world. It has brought to the mainstream discussions about race, religion and immigration – all three of which have practically been taboos for the past.

Whether he will delivery on any of his promises has yet to be seen, but the momentum and humour which he has brought to this election has been unprecedented for many a year.

An interesting 4 years lie ahead – when America sneezes the West gains a Cold.
