On Friday 5th January Traffic Officers were flagged down and alerted to a shooting incident that occurred at Zevenwacht Mall, Kuilsriver.
Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description given, a white Chevrolet Spark hatchback with three male occupants and pursued them, eventually bringing them to a stop on Van Riebeeck Rd, close to the cemetery.
Inside the vehicle, officers found 2 unlicensed firearms along with 13 rounds of ammunition, cash and cellphones, presumed to be stolen. Three male suspects were placed under arrest at Kleinvlei SAPS, with charges including attempted murder and possession of firearms and ammunition.
