Teenager back in court for brutal murder of Cape Town girl

A teenager is expected to appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court on Friday, for allegedly brutally murdering and mutilating teenager Lekita Moore.

Cameron Wilson, 19, is charged with the murder and mutilation of 18-year-old Moore, whose body was found on a field in Valhalla Park in September.

In September, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said Wilson was arrested in connection with the brutal murder.

Van wyk said Moore’s mutilated body, with multiple stab wounds, was found in a field along Tuna Road.

At the time he did not elaborate on the condition of a friend of the deceased, who she was reportedly with.

It later emerged that Moore’s friend had also been stabbed and was in a critical condition in hospital.
