Walkers and cyclists have been warned to be on their guard if they want to make use of Table Mountain’s trails.
In January this year, eight cases were reported in which hikers and cyclists were attacked and robbed on the famous route.
It was once a beautiful and safe area where Capetonians and visitors could go walking and cycling and now, like the rest of the country, it is a danger zone where villains and crooks wait to attack and rob civilians.
People who escaped from the Northern provinces, to get away from crime “emigrated” and went to the Cape. People are now increasingly disillusioned with the serious Cape Town crime wave that is similar to the rest of the country.
