Ladismith Police are currently investigating a case of culpable homicide after a 29-year-old man from Ladismith, Denzel Latell, died during a suspected hit-and-run incident about 15 km outside the town.
There was no vehicle at the scene where Latell’s body was found.
The collision occurred on January 23, 2022.
Police are still trying to determine who was involved in the collision that killed Latell. No suspect has yet been arrested.
Sergeant Crawley from the local detective branch asked members of the public not to hesitate to contact him if they may have information about the incident.
According to Sergeant Chris Spies, spokesperson for the South Police, a post-mortem examination is being carried out.
The family of the deceased was too sad to talk about the incident.
