Nazier Paulsen, an EFF member of parliament, appeared in the Cape Town magistrate’s Court on 15 February 2019, on a charge of stealing a laptop. That laptop belongs to Western Cape Legislature and Paulsen says he took it when he left in 2015 to first remove his personal data.

These days it’s a disease in South Africa to consider the workplace’s goods as your own. Just as how government vehicles are being abused. And actually it is your and our goods paid for with our tax money which they abuse and carry off.

One now thinks of the promise by the president during the State of the Nation Address, that all schoolchildren will now receive tablets instead of textbooks.

Now, instead of “Miss I forgot my book at home,” in the future it will be “Miss, I pawned my tablet at Cash Crusaders.”
