A man, believed to be in his 40s, has been found dead on the N1 in Meirings Park in Worcester in the Western Cape.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics responded to the scene on Friday afternoon after receiving reports of a pedestrian that had apparently been knocked over.
“Upon arrival, paramedics found the man lying in the right lane of the highway in a pool of blood. Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous stab wounds and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene.”
Local authorities were on the scene to conduct an investigation, Meiring said.
