A suspect was detained and taken away by Kuilsriver SAPS members yesterday after he was found in a house that did not belong to him.
A Kuilsriver Neighborhood Watch member alerted Bassett Alarms at 23H00 of a suspect that was in a residence in Matroos Singel, the only problem was that it was not the suspect’s residence and he had no reason for being there.
An armed response officer reacted to investigate the call out.
He arrived at the premises minutes later and was informed that the homeowner was contacted and he did not know the suspect and he should not be there.
After further investigation the members found the back door to the house damaged where the suspect possibly entered the house.
Kuilsriver SAPS members arrived soon afterwards and took the suspect away for further investigation.
