On February 6, Front National received a snapshot from the private profile of Riaan Lucas (Levine) wherein he posted a “meme” that jokingly referred to the death of Joost van der Westhuizen earlier the same day. A number of racist comments by “Lucas” and his followers followed this.
Within a matter of hours, his post was seen by almost a quarter million people and he removed his profile from Facebook along with two other profiled, but by that time, dozens of snapshots were taken of the racist hate speech posts.
Front National have revealed that the person who designed the “MEME” is Denver Lopez who describes himself as a Khoisan activist. His real name is Denver Breda, the founder, and CEO of the Cape Flats Creative Collective and Kolabb, a media platform for filmmakers.
Front National are busy investigating on who is funding Breda’s organization. If Breda is indeed the creator of the racist and offensive “meme” that would mean he is the major culprit. While Riaan Lucas (Levine) posted the “meme” designed by a friend, FN will continue to take action against all culprits.
Front National condemns the blatant hatred and racism posts and the overwhelming response demonstrations that communities are tired of racist deeds. FN thanks and acknowledges the support and cooperation from people, as they continue to weed out the culprits.
