IS ARROGANCE KILLING THE DA ?

IS ARROGANCE KILLING THE DA ?
IS ARROGANCE KILLING THE DA ?

While the DA led coalitions collapse in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, PE … the DA is booted out of Knysna, and who knows what’s coming next, the common thread is that this is due to the ANC teaming up with the EFF, the PA and if needed, one or two others, including Action SA to target the DA lead coalitions, and the DA in particular, only to replace them with “coalitions of further destruction”

POST 2024

It’s now very very obvious what 2024 will bring.

“The ANC will rule until Jesus returns” was predicted by Zuma… On this occasion he may have been right after all.

ARROGANCE ON DISPLAY

Despite allegations of arrogance and internal racism being levelled against the DA from many quarters, the DA was saved last week in the Cederberg by an incredible show of political maturity under the steady hand of Dr Corné Mulder and his teams of the WC Freedom Front Plus, by agreeing ahead of time, not to field a candidate opposing the DA’s candidate in the Cederberg.

This was done so that the best person for the job, in this case the DA candidate, could win the election for the sake of the residents of the Cederberg.

However, on winning the election, the DA claimed victory without recognising the two smaller parties in their new coalition, the FF+ and the local CE (Cederberg Eerste), who purposely gave the DA candidate the victory so as to remove the ANC and it’s cronies.

PARTY OBJECTIVES ABOVE THOSE OF THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE

The citizen’s interests should always take priority over the interests of a political party, as has been clearly demonstrated by the FF+ and the CE in this case.

Alas, none of the other parties, including the DA, which is blocking the desire by the people of the Western Cape for a referendum on independence, display any such inclination.

NO LONGER ANY DOUBT

There can no longer be any shadow of doubt that the strongly pro-independence stance of the FF+ needs to grow substantially in the Western Cape at the expense of the DA, so that a strong and capable coalition between the two can run the province from 2024.

Ideally also to lead it towards independence in a mature and steady way, pending the outcome of a provincial referendum on independence of course.

DA MUST CALL A WC REFERENDUM

Although most of the DA’s supporters have registered on capexit.org already, (the central registry collating the registrations of all those seeking a referendum on independence, regardless of race, religion or political preference), as have most of the FF+ supporters and just about all of their councillors, it’s clear that the FF+ should now loudly encourage the rest of their supporters to register asap on capexit.org calling on the DA to hold a single issue referendum on the question: Independence: Yes or No

The same goes for the CCC, CIP, CIAG, CAPE FORUM, AFRIFORUM, ACTION SOCIETY, ULA, all religious bodies and civil organisations and so on, to urgently call on their supporters to also register their support “to be asked” in a referendum, on capexit.org soonest.

The call to activate registrations needs to be very loud and very clear so that the DA’s provincial government finally hears the call and can no longer continue to ignore the “Will of the 830.000 people” so far registered they’re supposed to be serving.

Such arrogance of ignoring the people can no longer be tolerated or justified by the DA, especially in the Western Cape.

SETTING ITSELF UP FOR FAILURE

The recently established “Devolution Working Group” under DA leadership was firmly blown out of the water in reactions from the ANC and their allies, as predicted.

Logically, there seems to be very little chance for it to succeed, let alone get off the ground in a meaningful way.

Consequently, besides sovereign independence, there is no other solution to saving the Western Cape, and time is running out much much faster than anyone could have anticipated.

SETTING ITSELF UP FOR SUCCESS

Is it time to establish an “Independence Working Group”, incorporating all interested political parties, civic organisations, community representatives, religious organisations and so on, from every sector of Western Cape society ?

Or, should the “Devolution Working Group” quickly reinvent itself to form the “Independence Working Group” instead, …. with or without the DA, thereby setting itself up for success ?

It’s time to stop promising dreams and start focusing on reality
