Four arrested in hijacked car in Cape Town

Four men were arrested in a hijacked car in Nyanga on Monday, Cape Town police said.

Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said the Cape Town K9 Unit arrested the men, aged between 22 and 26, at around 12.30pm while inside the vehicle that was hijacked on Sunday in Browns Farm.

“Police assisted Tracker in searching for the vehicle and they spotted the vehicle parked in a yard in Owen Road in Mau-Mau, Nyanga,” Rwexana said.

“The four occupants were identified by the complainant as the suspects who hijacked his vehicle.”

Rwexana said the four are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of hijacking.
