A farm attack took place on Sunday 22 January 2023, at 19:15, on a farm in Montagu, in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
A farmer, Steyn Joubert and his family were at their home when an unknown number of attackers invaded the property.
A struggle ensued between the farmer and one attacker. During the attack the farmer was shot in the face.
Three shots were fired and one hit the farmer in the face fortunately only causing a flesh wound.
The attackers then fled the scene.
The farmer was not taken to hospital.
All role players responded but there have been no arrests.
The police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
