Everyone knows that crime in South Africa is out of control, so, the FF Plus has requested the Western Cape government to take proactive steps by assembling a special crime-fighting team.

Its main aim would be to design a risk-management strategy to protect hospitals, clinics, schools and farms.

Like South Africa’s police service, the criminal justice system has seriously deteriorated under incompetent ANC rule. Criminals no longer fear the police or courts.

The country has become a playground for rapists, murderers, robbers, illegal immigrants and Zama-Zama’s with their illicit mining activities.

Even ordinary citizens turn to crime in a desperate attempt to survive as a result of the high unemployment levels in the country.

South Africans are confronted every day by media reports of violence at schools, shootings in informal settlements, the neglect of patients in retirement homes and hospitals, farm attacks, gang-related crime claiming innocent lives, and the torching and destruction of public transport systems and private property.

Crime has truly become public enemy number one in South Africa with the high incidence of murder and violence being a clear indication that the government has lost the fight against all crime, but especially serious crimes.

Therefore, the FF Plus called on the Western Cape government to assemble a special anti-crime unit consisting of competent and expert police members of all population groups to combat crime effectively.

The time has come to be proactive with a joint effort to protect ordinary citizens against criminals.

Where the ANC fails, the Western Cape must step up. South Africa and the people of the Western Cape deserve better than the ANC government.
