A cyclist was robbed of his bike in Vredekloof, yesterday morning. The suspects fled in a red VW Polo. The cyclist was admitted to hospital and is recovering.
In Tygerberg Hills, a second incident occurred when a cyclist was pulled off his bike by a wire that was tied across a single track cycling route. Fortunately, the wire caught him across his chest and not his neck. When he was thrown from his bike, two suspects attacked him and fled with his bike.
Kendal Road Community reported that a wire was removed from a cycling route in Parklands.
Cyclists are urged to ride in groups of two or more and reduce the risk of being mugged
