Yesterday afternoon at about 16:00 while on his way to work Field Manager Justice noticed a Blue car standing close to a graveyard. He thought that the car looked a bit suspicious but had to report for duty and planned to return later.
He returned about 30 minutes later but the car was not there anymore. Justice then continued with his patrols and at about 22:00 he noticed the same car parked next to the road in Nooitgedacht.
He walked around the car and saw the keys were in the ignition and the ignition was turned on. He also saw a woman’s handbag between the seats. He contacted the control center and asked them to dispatch the police as the car looked very suspicious.
The police arrived and found the details of the registered owner who said that his wife had been missing for two days and she disappeared with the vehicle. He said he was just at the police station to report her as a missing person. He gave permission for the vehicle to be towed away.
The towing service then arrived and they had to open the boot.
They then made the gruesome discovery of the body of the missing woman inside. The husband came to the scene and identified her.
The scene was immediately closed and a murder docket opened. Our condolences to her husband, family and friends.
