The nuclear agreement implemented by the ANC Government will start in June 2017 when Eskom will request a tender contract for more than 1 trillion rands.
A Russian company, Rosatom, is currently the frontrunner to get the contract. Zuma’s cousin, Khulubushe Zuma is apparently part of the procedures in the awarding of tenders and will as always benefit millions from the deal.
Rating agencies have indicated that Eskom and the Treasury do not have the ability to go through with the contract – which Pravin Gordhan had indicated, and it is the reason why Zuma fired him.
Zuma might be able to pronounce a trillion rand although the many zeros might confuse him.
