Former ANC president Thabo Mbeki has also joined the debate among black people about the possibility of nationalization of the South African Reserve Bank.
Mbeki said the move was pointless, but political analysts said his point of view was merely an indication that he was still severely annoyed by how Zuma moved him out to get the post as president himself.
Mbeki’s remarks are clearly aimed at paying Jacob Zuma back by responding sharply and directly to what Zuma wants to do.
Thabo Mbeki recently said he can now again encourage voters to vote for the ANC. Ramaphosa, like Zuma, also made calls for the nationalization, but the suspicion is that it was a decision to retain votes for the ANC.
