Postmasburg – Son saved his father from attackers in balaclavas with his pellet gun on their farm.

A boy chased away a group of attackers with a pellet gun to rescue his father. They were attacked on a farm in Postmasburg.

Chris Victor of the farm Kareepan about 2 km from Postmasburg was attacked at his farm gate on February 14, 2015 at 08:00.

Lt. Andrea Cloete police spokesman, said Victor drove his truck up to the gate and was overpowered by the attackers.

The gang wore balaclavas and all of them were armed. Victor’s dog barked after which his son ran with a pellet gun from the house and the attackers fled the scene.

Cloete said the men stole R5 000 and Victor’s cell phone before fleeing in his vehicle. The truck was later found abandoned along the main road. The men allegedly fled into the bush.
