The SABC finally acknowledged that it is retrenching staff to get rid of its financial problems.
The unions BEMAWU and CMU (Communication Workers’ Union of South Africa) have been informed of the retrenchments, and they now demand an explanation and the reasons for this.
The state broadcaster says his salary account is too high, and is therefore forced to lay down staff.
As the Afrikaans speaking RSG station does not leave any opportunity to proudly announce that brown Afrikaans speakers are their biggest audience, the suspicion is that white Afrikaans employees will be affected by the retrenchments so that the broadcaster can become even more politically correct and share more leftist propaganda.
