An inquest docket has been opened following the death of two children aged 12 and 18. The two children were killed on Saturday, 12 December 2020, after a wall collapsed on them during a storm that destroyed a number of houses and shacks in Pampierstad area.
Some households were left homeless after their dwellings were destroyed by the heavy storm.
Two persons were transported to Hartswater hospital to receive medical treatment for the injuries sustained during the storm.
The whole area of Pampierstad and the neighborhood has been affected, electricity is down, trees were uprooted and roofs blown off some houses in the area.
