The Northern Cape SAPS Flying Squad with the help of the Kimberley SAPS K9 unit pounced on two men with a firearm and ammunition. On Saturday, 27 July 2019 at about 22:00 the police followed up on information of an alleged male gardener that stole a Point 22 Calibre pistol and ammunition from his employer in Richie and sold it to man in Modderrivier.
The 45 year old male was arrested at his house Modderrivier for theft of a firearm and ammunition while the 46 year old alleged male purchaser was arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Both the suspects should be appearing in the Modderrivier Magistrates Court soon. The investigation continues.
