Two farm attacks took place on the night of 14 September 2020, in Skeerpoort, near Hartbeespoort dam, in the North West province of South Africa. The first attack occurred on the Astley Manor Pecan Farm, where a farm worker was shot five times by an unknown number of attackers. Then on a nearby farm in the same area, a gang attacked another group of farm workers and assaulted and robbed them.
It is suspected that it is the same group terrorizing the communities and intimidating the farm workers. It is suspected that this tactic is to also try take the focus off the real issue, which is the onslaught against and murder of white farmers.
There were no serious injuries reported in the second attack. All role players responded but there were no arrests. The SAPS are following up an investigation. There is no other information available at this stage.
