Mr Million, a stud bull that cost R1 million, had to be put to death after savage cattle meat raiders struck at a farm outside Brits in North West last Friday night, 27 September 2019. These barbaric hacking gangs slash the cattle to death with machetes and then chop off some meat and carry it away.

These gangs regularly attack South African farms, they first slash off the hind leg tendons of the cattle so that they can’t run before then hacking the cattle into pieces whilst they are still alive. The night guard on the farm of Mr Ockert Werner arrived on the scene just after the hacking gang started to hack Mr Million.

His hind leg tendons had by then already been hacked off and he already had deep slashes over his head and back.    The hacking gang had by then chopped up several cows and fled with the meat. The owner of the farm said that he has lost four cattle in this way this month alone.

Mr Ockert Werner commented on social media ” THANK YOU Mr. Million for the wonderful 8 years we had together, you have been the cornerstone for Model Boran. I have never even had the thought of selling you, but now this has happened. I have always thought you were going to have a royal retirement here next to my house. We knew we had have to say goodbye to you one day, but never thought it would be in such a cruel way. Thank you so much for what you meant to Model Boran. R.I.P. We’re going to miss you. Hope someone up there will also be able to scratch your head regularly.”
