The farm attacker who was shot dead by a farmer, Hennie Niemand, who had been shot at point blank range, was in fact released two days ago on R2000 bail for a farm attack that he was arrested for only three weeks ago. The farmer, Hennie, that was shot during a farm attack in Potchefstroom, in the North West province of South Africa, was instrumental in arresting the attacker when he had attacked a neighboring farm.
On the night of 21 August 2020, Hennie suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach after being ambushed by the attacker. He was evacuated to hospital and is on a ventilator. Hennie arrived the the kraal after being lured out by the attacker who was holding farm workers hostage.
As Hennie alighted from the bakkie, the attacker shot him at point blank range, he then rolled over and opened fire on the attacker killing him.
