A farm attack took place during the night of 10 July 2020, in Volksrust, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, after an unknown number of attackers set the veld on fire to draw the men out and away from the home. Once these terrorists had achieved that goal they jumped the fence, smashed windows and attempted to break through the burglar bars.
They then tried to cut the burglar bars with a grinder that they had retrieved from the store room. A woman, who was inside, raised the alarm causing farmers to respond, the attackers then fled and are being sought. There is no other information available at this stage and there have been no arrests.
