On Tuesday, January 3, an armed suspect was spotted by a farm worker outside the residence of Frik Human’s farm situated on the farm Schaapkraal outside Bethal, Mpumalanga.
The farm worker immediately called for assistance and raised the alarm. Within minutes, the farming community responded and a search for the suspect began. Unfortunately, the suspect was not apprehended.
It is the second incident on the Human’s farm within the last 30 days where a suspect was loitering around. However, there is no indication of whether these two incidents are connected.
Farmers are cautioned to be vigilant and communicate with the community security groups in order to avert a farm attack.
