March against Monsanto’s genetically modified crops

May 23, 2015 is the international march against Monsanto day. Port St Johns will be joining over 350 other towns and cities worldwide in a peaceful march through the town to protest against Monsanto’s monopoly of SA’s staple diet maize. Monsanto’s genetically modified crops and associated chemicals pose devastating health risks to people, animals and ecosystems. It is so important that in addition to people in the cities, rural people have a chance to speak up too. We are trying to drum up as much support as possible:
