The private security company WASPS have undertaken to assist the young man who was severely assaulted by four farm attackers on the night of 18 September 2021, at 22:43, on Sussenvale farm in Modimolle (Nylstroom), in the Limpopo province of South Africa.

Duan Slingerland (19) was brutalized, severely assaulted and thrown through a window.

During the attack the young man was robbed of all his possessions and his vehicle, a silver Volkswagen Polo Reg: HKT037FS.

WASPS, in conjunction with the family and the farm owner, immediately undertook a drive to gather clothes and other essentials for Slingerland and they also arranged private medical care and moved him from the FH Odendaal government hospital.

During the violent attack, one of the attackers held a firearm to Slingerland’s head, between his eyes and pulled the trigger. Fortunately the firearm misfired and the round did not go off.

Slingerland who was badly injured and walked barefoot to neighbours for help after the attack is recovering from his ordeal.
