Police launch manhunt for suspects following mob killing

The Police in Waterval outside Makhado have launched a manhunt for a group of community members who brutally killed an unknown man.

It is alleged that a group of community members gathered on the night of 2 August 2017 at about 18:00 and ultimately started searching for the man until they caught him. He was then assaulted with various objects and burnt to death in Muwaweni village in the Waterval Policing area.

The motive behind this incident is not clear at this stage. The identity of the deceased will be determined through Forensic investigations.

The suspects in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrest.
