Four suspects were found guilty on 12 April 2019, and sentenced in Polokwane high court following the murder of the elderly Peterson couple in September 2017, in Verloren, Bela-Bela. They have been sentenced to two life terms for the two murders, 20 years each for the armed robbery and another 3 years for possession of unlicensed firearm.
