Vehicle stolen in KwaZulu-Natal armed robbery

A Nissan Sentra that was taken in an armed robbery from Nsuze in the north of Durban was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa in a cane field in Esnembe, KwaZulu-Natal.

While on patrol in the area reaction officers received information from a member of public of an abandoned vehicle in a sugar cane plantation. Officers acted on the information and found the vehicle on an unpaved road. A registration check was conducted and did not indicate that the vehicle was being sought.

Police officers from the Nsuze SAPS who where driving past at the time stopped and informed reaction officers that the vehicle had been taken by three armed suspects during an armed robbery in the Nsuze area earlier on today.

The vehicle was handed over to authorities for further investigation.
