Skull of boy (11) removed in gruesome murder, Harding

It is alleged on 7 April 2018, at Molweni area, Harding, an eleven year old boy Malwande Samo Deyi went to look for the livestock at the grazing land when and did not return home.

The family members with the assistance of the community members started to search for the missing boy. After a frantic search his lifeless body was found in the afternoon near Mthavuna River with an injury on the head.

The body had an open wound on the head and the skull was also missing. A case of murder was opened at Harding police station for investigation.

A 32 year old Nkosivumile Sincuba was apprehended after a week with the assistance of the community. A missing skull was also recovered by the police hidden in the nearby bushes by the accused.

He made several court appearances in the Harding Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody.

The matter was transferred to Pietermaritzburg High Court and was convicted today. The accused will appear tomorrow, 24 May 2018 in the Pietermaritzburg High Court for sentencing.
