The police have arrested a woman in connection with the incident on farm Rhino Ranch, where Jaco Albertse (27) had his hand chopped open during the attack. It was on March 1 that Albertse was confronted and overpowered by four suspects who chopped open his hand when he grabbed his gun.
Initial reports indicated that Jaco Albertse’s hand was chopped off with a panga. We did receive confirmation from a family member that the hand was only chopped open. Jaco was taken to hospital and operated on.

Reports indicate that the woman has appeared in court, but no further information regarding the other three suspects has been released.
