Bus driver assaulted during road rage incident in Verulam

The bus driver was assaulted during a road rage incident in the Verulam CBD – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) will called out to a service station on George Sewpersad Street after the occupants of a red Toyota Etios severely assaulted the man.

On arrival at approximately 16:28, Reaction Officers interviewed the driver of the bus who explained that several males confronted him as he entered the service station.

They began assaulting him with their fists and accused him of driving recklessly.

The conductor in the bus advised officers that two of the men were in possession of rifles.

The suspects sped off prior to the arrival of First Responders.

The victim sustained open wounds to his face but declined medical attention….
