Apparently trying to find Vicki Momberg is a South African priority crime! This in the face of 21 000 murders, 52 000 rapes and sexual assaults, 156 000 common assaults, 190 000 robberies, 23 000 house robberies, 220 000 burglaries, 16 000 car jacking and 238 cash in transit heists. But 1 missing person who said a bad word is the story making headlines!

Guess which is the priority crime in South Africa!

Vicki Momberg, the estate agent charged with racist crimen injuria, was sentenced to jail for 3 years of which 1 is suspended. Momberg is the first person in South Africa to be sentenced to imprisonment for using the “k” word. She was charged after she was captured on video calling a black police officer “k…r”

Momberg has been eluding the authorities since a warrant for her arrest was issued on 1 August 2019. Earlier this year, Momberg was unsuccessful in her bid to appeal a crimen injuria conviction. Momberg failed to hand herself over to hand herself over to police within 30 days of the appeal.
