Urgent call for help – Man left with serious injuries lies unattended in Leratong Hospital
Urgent call for help - Man left with serious injuries lies unattended in Leratong Hospital

On Monday afternoon, 2 November 2020, around 17:30 there was a severe head-on collision on the Kocksoord / Finbury road near Randfontein, in the West Rand, in the Gauteng province of South Africa, between Marius and Monica du Toit, their 9 month old baby, and a drunk black man. Everyone was taken to Leratong Hospital and there hell began!

At 11:30 on 5 November 2020, Marius is still in the casualty department with multiple bone fractures and head injuries and is only receiving panados. Monica has since been relocated after a road accident fund was applied for. Marius however did not qualify.

There is an urgent appeal to one and all for any contributions, whether financial and or prayers or even just a message of hope to assist the family during this crisis and to get proper medical care for them all.

Barend Pienaar of Oorgrens veiligheid said, “I stand in person and give my word of honor that any contributions will be used properly for the benefit of the family, Jaco Taute who is a respected man does the same.”
