Johannesburg mayor, Herman Mashaba, apparently made his first civil arrest in the interest of the Gold City’s reputation. He stopped a man who brought a shopping cart with a chopped up beef carcass including the head to town and was walking down the street with his precious cargo.
A metro police department spokesperson, David Tembe, confirmed that the man had been arrested later, as the cattle head was a health risk.
The accompanying photo that ended up on social media networks was a festival for those who like to comment on such strange behavior. And there are also those who blamed the mayor and the police that the man was arrested, as it is an obstacle to entrepreneurship.
