In Tarlton on 21 JUly 2017, at approximately 09:00, a 30-year-old male was arrested after a farm attack at a dairy farm in Vlakplaats.

It is alleged that in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 05:45 the victim was preparing to open his dairy business when he was attacked by approximately six males.

It is alleged that one of the suspects pointed the victim with a firearm demanding money and firearms.

It is further alleged that the victim was stabbed with a sharp object on his hand. The suspects ransacked the house and took an undisclosed amount of money, wrist watch, bar fridge and two motor vehicles, A Ford Everest and Ford Torneo.

The West Rand Cluster Trio task team was assigned to investigate the matter.

The team made a breakthrough when they arrested a 30-year-old male, who was also found with a large amount of money. It is suspected that it forms part of that which was taken during the robbery.

Both vehicles were also recovered at Soweto. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are imminent.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Krugersdorp Magistrate Court soon.

The Station Commander of Tarlton SAPS, Lt Col CP Tsoaedi applauded the members for their swift response.
