At 06h26 on Friday morning Netcare 911 paramedics raced to a shooting incident in Ontdekkers Park Roodepoort.
Exact detail to the incident and preceding events are still speculative and will form part of the South African Police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found a Swazi immigrant lying on the ground in the yard of a private house with multiple gunshot wounds.
The Advanced Life Support paramedic and her team worked fervently to stabilise the man at the scene before they transported him to a provincial hospital for the care that he required.
