At 21H33 Thursday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in Bryanston, Sandton.
Reports from the scene indicate that a male in his late twenties believed to be a suspect in a house robbery sustained a fatal gunshot wound after being shot by an occupant of the house.
The patient was assessed on scene by an Advanced life support paramedic and found to have no signs of life and declared deceased on the scene.
None of the occupants of the house were injured.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
